North Suburban Medical Center will open a Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center in the near future. The Center will contain two (2) state of the art, OxyHeal 2000-3 Hyperbaric Medicine Systems. The multiplace chambers have a capacity for treating three patients and one attendant each who accompanies the patients during their treatments. A physician or qualified assistant closely monitor patients at all times. The environment within the chamber is compressed air, which has two to three times more pressure than air at sea level. While inside the chambers, patients breathe 100 percent oxygen via a treatment hood.

North Suburban, a 157-bed licensed hospital with two adjoining medical office buildings and 550 physicians on staff, is part of the HCA-HealthONE LLC System of Excellence.
