OxyHeal Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center
at UMC (University Medical Center)
 


The University Medical Center Hyperbaric Medicine Center facility is located at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. This facility is a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week facility that treats trauma, burn, wound and diving injury patients.

The Hyperbaric facility is recognized as a Divers Alert Network (DAN) approved treatment chamber. The Hyperbaric Medicine Center is staffed with full time physicians, critical care nurses and Certified Hyperbaric Technologist’s.The facility has critical care capacity with mechanical ventilation. UMC has recently finished a new modern Burn Center which now houses the state-of-the-art OxyHeal 5000 rectangular multi-place system. This Hyperbaric system will be the only multi-patient Hyperbaric oxygen therapy unit purposefully built into a Burn Center in the United States.

The University Medical Center (UMC) of Southern Nevada is a 542-bed full-service acute care hospital with Level 1 Trauma services and home to the Lions Burn Care Center. This University affiliated hospital is the largest and most active in Clark County.

Wound Center
The Lion’s Burn Care Center is the only burn care center in Nevada. The Center also operates an outpatient wound care center. Services provided are skin grafts, wound care, scar revisions, physical and occupational therapy. The outpatient clinic treats more than 100 patients a day.
