HBO Wound Care Nurse Position Title: Clinical Hyperbaric and Wound Care Registered Nurse Position Summary: Performs the duties of a Registered Nurse in a hyperbaric clinical environment with a strong emphasis on documentation. Responsibilities: Minimum Educational Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Possess current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Nevada. Experience: Minimum of one year critical care experience. Direct patient wound care experience in a clinical setting. Skills: CCRN, ACLS. Excellent communications skills. Ability to work with physicians an other health team members in a variety of settings. Supervision Received: Works under the general supervision of the Hyperbaric Medical Doctors and Program Directors. Supervision Given: Directly supervises inside observers and hyperbaric technician duringdirect patient care. Responsibility for Confidentiality: Responsible for the confidentiality of all patient information and protects the privacy of all patients. Responsible for ensuring employee and proprietary confidentiality. Responsibility for Accuracy: Responsible for complete and accurate documentation. Thorough documentation is imperative. Pressure Factor: Intermittent work pace and varying degrees of stress. Contact with Others: Has frequent contact with patients, families, physicians and other members of the health care team. Represents the department and organization with a positive image. Working Conditions: Mostly office, with occasional chamber exposure. Must be able to withstand confined and uncomfortable spaces for varying periods of time. Physical Requirements: Must be able to read and write. Must be able to pass an annual dive physical Must be able to lift from floor level to waist level. Requires standing, walking, pushing, crouching, kneeling, bending, lifting, reaching at arms length and the ability to handle piercing and cutting instruments.
