Program Director

Position Title: Program Director

Position Summary: Acts as a liaison between Hyperbaric Management Systems, Inc. staff and hospital administration. Coordinates and carries out hyperbaric operations in support of the host hospital and Hyperbaric Management Systems, Inc. mission statements.

Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all aspects of hyperbaric operations.
2. Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and appropriate staffing.
3. Coordinates directly with the medical director in support of the UHMS, Medicare and hospital guidelines.
4. Responsible for compliance with the hospital's quality assurance and performance improvement program.
5. Fiscally responsible for unit.
a. Tracks patient payments and assures accuracy of payment.
b. Assists business office to assure timely payments.
c. Prepares accounts receivable invoices.
d. Records and distributes hospital payments to Hyperbaric Management Systems.
e. Formulates employee payroll.
6. Responsible for the preparation of monthly and annual facility reports to be provided to the home office.
7. Responsible for human resources activity within the department and HM.S.
8. Maintains employee records.
9. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency guidelines.
10. Works directly with the medical in marketing the facility to the appropriate physicians and facilities.
11. Conducts community lectures on diving and hyperbaric medicine.
12. Promotes hyperbaric medicine to nursing and physician organizations.
13. Serves as chamber operator or inside observer as needed.

Minimum Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist or equivalent. Prior experience as a Technical or Assistant Director.

Skills: Certified Hyperbaric Technologist. Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft™ Office software. Be familiar with the use of spreadsheets and possess word processing skills.

Supervision Received: Is indirectly supervised by Hyperbaric Management Systems, Inc. Executive Director for Hyperbaric Business Operations.

Supervision Given: Directly or indirectly supervises all Hyperbaric Management Systems, Inc. employed at the facility. Conducts annual performance evaluations.

Responsibility for Confidentiality: Responsible for ensuring that all Hyperbaric Management Systems, Inc. employees maintains patient, employee and proprietary confidentiality.

Responsibility for Accuracy: Reports and financial information provided to both the host hospital and the home office must prepared as accurately as possible. Maintaining accuracy will reduce potential conflicts.

Pressure Factor: Must be able to work under varying degrees of stress. Periodic high intensity operations 24/7.

Contact with Others: Interfaces personally and by telephone with hospital administration, staff members and Hyperbaric Management Systems, Inc. management.

Working Conditions: Must be able to work in confined and uncomfortable spaces for a short period of time. Hours are dependent upon patient load. Must be able to perform the functions of the on-call technician.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass a dive physical. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. to waist level. Must be able to assist in lifting patients of varying weights onto and off of a gurney.
