Upon referral, patients will undergo a comprehensive evaluation by a physician trained and credentialed in wound care and/or hyperbaric medicine (HBOT). If HBOT is considered appropriate, a treatment plan will be formulated and discussed with the referring physician and patient. Referring physicians will be updated regularly as the patient's treatment course progresses, and will receive a final summary upon discharge.
In order to successfully track a patient's progress, OxyHeal® uses a sophisticated Electronic Medical Record (EMR). OxyHeal's endorsed EMR offers an extensive patient charting system incorporating hyperbaric treatment modalities into each patient's historical record. This software incorporates excellent physician and administrative overview capabilities, collating and organizing wound patient and hospital data on a variety of useful key terms. This OxyHeal® endorsed EMR meets the certification requirements of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act which is required in hospitals by 2014.
OxyHeal® is adept working closely with the hospital's marketing and physician outreach teams to educate local physicians and the surrounding community regarding the significant benefits the Center provides hospitals and communiteis they serve.
